Molly and Myron | Oregon Coast Engagement Portrait

When was the last time you had a portrait created by a professional photographer? If you’re like most people, the answer would be in grade school or your senior high school graduation. When couples ask why they need an engagement session (e-session in photog talk) I remind them of this point. E-sessions are relaxed and…

All these are great. I really like the textures found in the shot on the staircase but the phone booth shot! That’s a WOW! photo!

Love these! What a great variety of camera aware and intimate moments. I’m sure their wedding images will be nothing less than stunning.

The Heart Matters

It is not flesh and blood but the heart which makes us fathers and sons. -Johann Schiller My father was a minister, as was my grandfather and great-grandfather. I grew up in the church. Literally, I learned how to ride my bike in the church parking lot of the Church of Christ in Kansas City,…

Randy, that was such a beautiful post. Really touched me. I had no idea about the lineage of ministers you come from. Very cool.
thank you for sharing something so personal, really made me think. I know Steve and I cherish the photographs we have of our children when they are tiny….so thankful for that medium of art so we can always reflect and remember on this very precious time in our lives.

Thank you Nicole. I always go back and forth about sharing such personal information. I know the people who follow my blog are some of my best friends, so they get to know me better. For those who don’t know me, perhaps this will encourage them to hire me and create their own personal memories for their family and loved ones.

Speaking of connections…I have photographs I need to send over to you for your new web site Nicole. (one of the best hair and makeup people in the city).

Those Kepple genes run deep, my love. I can see Roger in that photograph of your great grandmother.

It is such an honor and a blessing to be a part of the Kepple Klan. We have our flaws but your family is what made you the man you are and I am proud to be your wife and the mother of your child!

Thank you for that gift! I love this post!

Featured Wedding Album | Sarah and Patrick in Vermont

As a visual artist and professional storyteller—I believe that my vision is best realized in something tangible. Without question, albums are still the ultimate heirloom. When you hold one of these in your hands and flip through the pages, you know it’s something special. Albums tell the story of your day and keep those memories…

I just got a phone call from my aunt to let me know this blog post was here – I don’t know how I missed it! :)

Designing albums is one of the best parts of my life – and designing my own was so much fun.

Seeing the images of the album online gives a sense of the day, but actually holding the album in my lap, feeling it’s weight, smelling the leather, and flipping though the pages…brings me right back there every time. I can’t imagine making do with one wall print of a formal pose as the memorial of my wedding day – having the story told in album form is priceless!

By the way – We keep our album in the living room – sitting on the table you see under the arch in the ceremony shots.

Wonderful design Randy! Who is your binder?

RandyAugust 24, 2009 - 8:43 am

Dennis…thanks for commenting and for dropping in! Sarah does a wonderful job of album design. She has been a wonderful addition to my business and her design work is always exciting to me and my clients.

In the past, I’ve used wonderful binders such as Queensberry and AsukaBook. This album was one of my first feature storybook albums that was obviously custom designed. The binder is an American company called Finao. They do a wonderful job and offer very exciting options for covers, such as two-tone leathers and aluminum metal options. The reaction from my clients has been very impressive. Great binding coupled with good design and exciting photography are the ultimate goal.
