Destination Wedding | Woodstock, Vermont

Tonight I’m taking a red eye flight to New York and onward to Vermont for Sarah and Patrick’s wedding. So, this evening when you are snoozing comfortably in your soft bed, think of me cramped in a small airline seat trying to sleep.

I’ve traveled all over the United States, but have never ventured into the upper East corner. All the New England states are foreign to me. This wedding has special significance as it will be my first time to fly into New York and explore one of the most picturesque and historic regions in our country. In addition, it’s Sarah and Patrick’s wedding. My beloved friends and inimitable album designer.

Thunderstorms were a part of life growing up in Kansas City, Missouri and something that I miss. The Northwest is unique in that we rarely have thunderstorms. Weird, but true. I miss the smell of the wind as a thunderstorm approaches. The thunder so loud that it rattles the windows and makes you realize how insignificant you are in the world. I hope it does not rain on Saturday for obvious reasons, but the weather forecast looks intriguing.

I’ll be out of the office until Monday, August 11th. Any comments to the blog or emails or phone calls will be returned at that time. I’ve been told that internet service is questionable and cell phone service miraculous. Given the location, I’m sure there are more important things to focus on.

I’m looking forward to the journey and hope to share some images with you when I return. Congratulations Sarah and Patrick! Your journey that started so many years ago is just beginning once again. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and already feel a part of the family. Cheers!

Hi Randy, did you have a nice trip to the other coast? Looks like the weather was a little chilly; I hope it was as interesting as it looks. I know that you always enjoyed your mid-west storms. East coast storms have a special dyanamic. Did you get any good shots? Lisa
