Jessica and Cyle’s Engagement Portrait Album

I sent a link to Jessica and Cyle’s engagement photos to a friend in Australia. He wrote back that this could be an album on it’s own. Jessica and Cyle agreed and commissioned me to design a magazine style coffee table book.

Working closely with my album designer Sarah (who is the most talented I’ve worked with) we designed a beautiful 10×10 press printed engagement album. Magazine style albums are different than a traditional album because there are no mats. It’s designed full page and beautifully printed on a thick glossy or matte paper. These stunning book bound albums are very accessible and intimate.

I wanted to share this design with you to illustrate that everything we do is customized, from the design of the album to the post production retouching of the images. It’s the final touch to a great shoot and showcases their favorite images. I wish more people would invest in their memories like Jessica and Cyle.

What an amazing presentation. The direction you’ve taken for yourself is very inspiring. From the photos themselves, processing, design and also, simply the ideas! Very nice work, I’m sure the couple will be ecstatic!

[...] Jessica and Cyle’s engagement session ended up being one of my favorites. But it didn’t start out that way. Cyle is an attractive guy, but a bit awkward in front of the camera. He wasn’t sure what to do. So, I told him to be a rock star. Don’t worry about looking at the camera. Give me some attitude. Be aloof, reserved and cool. He nailed the role of rock star. [...]
